Iran executes alleged juvenile offender

Iran executed alleged juvenile offender in northern city of Iran.

ICBHR: Hossein Esmaielpour, who allegedly committed crime, was executed earlier today in Lakan, Rasht.

The alleged juvenile offender was executed early Saturday, December 1, 2018 in the northern city of Iran, Lakan.

Iran Execution Enforcement Department’s agents took him into an isolation a day before the execution.

"He was sentenced to death for alleged murder in a kangaroo trial, which was reportedly colluded by intelligence services", said his father.

Hossein was accused of murder along with two other individuals when he was just 19 years old.
"The innocent executed young man was reportedly raped by a cleric, identified Fakhri Langroudi, when he (at the age of 14) was studying religious science at Roodsar Seminary", according to Iran Human Rights organization. "Fakhri Langaroudi, the clergyman, was an advisor in 2013 elections for Mohsen Rezaei (former Commander in Chief of IRGC) campaign, and the consultant of the secretary of the Expediency Discernment Council in Gilan province."

“They had allegedly committed murder of the prominent cleric in Gilan province”, reported Boroumand Foundation.
Iran responsible for over half of executions world over, says Amnesty International. Iran ranks second in the world after China in terms of executions and has “carried out 84% of the global total number of executions with Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Pakistan: AI reported earlier April in 2018.
