Bodies of babies discovered after Nigerian massacre received criticism from all corners of the world. This massacre and turmoil in the country left nearly 500 dead. The Nigerian Leaders are busy meeting security chiefs to tackle the situation.

While the rescue operation was going on, a nappy clad baby was found among the corpses of children twisted with each other in a morgue in the Central Nigerian Region. According to Associated Press at one place a young victim was found to be scalped and few others were found with cut off hands and legs. Such discoveries expose it to be one of the cruelest massacres to have hit the country in the last few years.

Along with the heinous massacre, rape and sexual abuses, cannot be subsided. A female victim was found stripped below the waist covered by black strip of cloth. This massacre happened near the city of Jos, Central Nigeria and the death toll is expected to nearly 500 after the attack by men wielding machetes just the sunrise on Sunday.

Police record show only 55 deaths, but aid workers on the scene it was really difficult to count the exact number because many bodies were charred beyond recognition and the toll could not be less than 500. The residents of these predominantly Christian settlements near Jos claimed that Muslim herders were perhaps behind this massacre which seemed to be an reprisal attack of what has happened in January killing hundreds.

BBC correspondents in the area reported that people who tried to flee were caught in animal traps and fishing nets and were lacerated to death. The mud huts were set on fire and rampant barbarism followed in their activities that didn’t even leave the small infants!
