Predictably enough the conviction of former Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford to 15 years in Federal prison, as part of a takedown that included the former state Democratic Party chairman and the former executive director of the state Democratic Party is getting little play in the press. Because the Culture of Corruption isn't too newsworthy when it involves Democrats.

Just as slimy Congressman Eric Massa's ethics violations and sexual harassment scandal is being swept under the carpet.

But the media has naturally found the time to blame Republicans or the Tea Party movement for the Pentagon shootings, when in fact the shooter was a 9/11 Truther and a registered Democrat.

The very fact that his target was the Pentagon, demonstrated that John Patrick Bedell was obsessed with the American Empire fantasies of the far left and the far right. Which makes it completely unsurprising that he supported nutjob Akaska Dem Mike Gravel, who spoke at a Holocaust denial conference, and was a Mises fan, a Facebook group with possible ties to the Rockwell Mises Institute, which has been the hidden engine behind the Ron Paul campaign.

His rant was the classic sort of thing that you hear from the LaRouche or Paul people. And it demonstrates the danger of letting them infiltrate the Republican party, as the Paul campaign has tried to do with Debra Medina, and Rand Paul. Adam Holland has a selection of the craziness from Ron Paul's Campaign for Liberty website and much of it is indistinguishable from the rantings of John Patrick Bedell.

Bedell's portrait is that of a fairly typical fringe follower of these movements. From pot legalization to 9/11 conspiracies to the usual hidden conspiracies running everything. His views were on the fringe of both the right and the left. But the media won't tell the truth about it, because he's just too useful to them as a tool for smearing the political opposition.

Meanwhile the media is equally unwilling to closely follow the Dubai investigation because it has degenerated into a complete farce. First Australian investigators in Israel were themselves involved in a hit and run.

But then the Dubai police force, much as I predicted, has delivered the kind of insanity anyone should expect from a middle eastern police force, blaming Egypt, Jordan, Iran and Israel in some sort of vast conspiracy, while claiming that he has Mossad DNA on file.

Dan Friedman notes that another assassination occurred in Dubai without drawing international condemnation.

Sulim B. Yamadayev was a former general in Chechnya and foe of the republic's Kremlin-backed president. He was killed in the Persian Gulf emirate of Dubai on March 30, 2009, in what appeared to be an assassination, the police said. He was 36.

The killer fired three bullets from a gold-plated gun at the victim's chest as Sulim Yamadayev climbed from his car in the private car park beneath his luxury residence in Dubai.

Ruslan Yamadayev, one of Sulim's brothers, was shot dead in his car in September as he waited in a traffic jam in Moscow just outside the White House, the government building where the offices of Mr. Putin are situated.

... but of course when Russia assassinates its enemies, even when done with radioactive materials on British soil, the matter quickly dies away.

Naturally all this has mainly served as a forum to inspire the usual acts of anti-Israel pettiness on the continent.

Representatives from Carrickmacross in County Monaghan voted to remove ambassador Dr Zion Evrony's signature in a protest against Israeli policies.

The Israeli ambassador, who was travelling around the country in an effort to correct "misconceptions" about Israel, was met by around 30 protesters when he visited Carrickmacross in January. The demonstration was reportedly arranged by Sinn Fein. Matt Carthy, a Sinn Fein councillor asked Evrony to leave the town.

Of course it would be Sinn Fein. Clearly Matt Carthy is proudly following in the footsteps of IRA hero Sean Russell, who collaborated with the Nazis and whose statue is a regular staple of Sinn Fein commemorations.

Considering that Sinn Fein, the political arm of a terrorist organization, is led by Gerry Adams, a terrorist and mass murderer... it's not exactly a shock that the likes of Matt Carthy would come out in support of terrorism. Furthermore the IRA and Palestinian Arab terrorist groups were interconnected through Soviet backing.

Matt Carthy himself is a national organizer of Ógra Shinn Féin, Sinn Fein's youth movement. Today Ógra Shinn Féin supports a number of terrorist groups such as SEGI, which is part of the Basque ETA terrorist group.

It is a shame that Ireland has politicians who are affiliated with international terrorist organizations. Who defend those who murder innocent people.

Through much of the Oslo process (1993-2000), Israel was deeply attentive to the notion that Palestinian terrorists blow up Israelis because they are frustrated peace-seekers rather than jihadists — a theory still popular among policy analysts who call themselves “realists.” Yet unilateral concessions embolden rather than pacify jihadists — witness the 2005 Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, which produced a dramatic increase in rocket assaults upon southern Israel and turned Gaza into a Hamas emirate clattering with imported arms.

In the past year, the Obama administration made ameliorating Palestinian perceptions of injustice a priority, strong-arming Israel to impose a ban on Jews moving to the West Bank and even parts of Jerusalem. Only the policy hasn’t helped the administration’s plan to reconvene peace talks. Far from it: the U.S. having raised the demand, Mahmoud Abbas’ Palestinian Authority duly adopted it as a precondition and has refused to negotiate until Israel accedes to it.

The track record of policies designed to appease Arab and Muslim perceptions is provably poor, inasmuch as the irrationality, suspicion, and hatred that they seek to validate are impervious to facts.

Polls show, for example, that neither Egyptians nor Palestinians like America more despite being recipients of ever-rising levels of American largesse. Saudis have scant affection for the U.S. after decades of Washington’s fawning deference. Nor has Muslim opinion been perceptibly altered by the most striking examples of American aid and succor given to Muslims: in Bosnia in 1999, or in Indonesia after the 2005 southeast Asian tsunami.

...because of course ideologically based hate cannot be melted away through appeasement. Appeasement only feeds the flames.

And the Muslim violence continues...

Several hundred Palestinian youths threw rocks at Jews praying at the Western Wall in Jerusalem’s Old City on Friday (March 5), prompting Israeli police to evacuate Jewish worshippers and enter the nearby Temple Mount compound to stop the violence.

Witnesses said Palestinian worshippers were waving Hamas flags at the scene.[4] In recent years Hamas has funded projects on the Temple Mount to increase its influence there. The Palestinian rioters also threw stones at police forces but fled to the Al-Aqsa Mosque within the compound once Israeli police entered.[10] The police negotiated with authorities from the Waqf – the Islamic trust that administers the Temple Mount – and eventually withdrew from the site.

Further an interesting Jerusalem Post article which says that Rabin, who had been turned into the Saint of the left's peace movement did not think peace with Arafat would work.

Yitzhak Rabin considered the likelihood of reaching a peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with Yasser Arafat to be only “a long shot.” But he attempted it, reluctantly, via the Oslo process, because he recognized that Muslim fundamentalists were gradually winning over the hearts and minds of the Palestinians of the West Bank and Gaza, and that their domination would mean “the certainty of no settlement at all.”

That was the explanation offered by Rabin on Wednesday, November 1, three days before he was assassinated, to Yehuda Avner, his long-time English speechwriter and friend, when Avner met with Rabin in his Jerusalem office ahead of a planned return to the prime minister’s employ. “It is either the PLO or nothing,” Rabin said.

Essentially Rabin thought that dealing with the PLO might slow the rise of Islam in the Middle East. He turned out to be quite wrong, and the PLO itself took on Islamic coloration, endorsing Sharia and using suicide bombings as the cult of martyrdom.

Boker Tov Boulder points out that the mass census worker hiring has a double effect by inflating the employment figures.

The census could not come at a better time, economists say, with official data out on Friday expected to confirm that the national unemployment rate hovers just below 10 per cent.

“This particular programme is a booster shot to hiring activity during a very critical third quarter,” says John Lonski, chief economist at Moody’s capital markets group. “We expect that private sector hiring will pick up by June or July, but this is the right time for what could be seen as a small-scale stimulus package.”

Which is a fancy way of saying that Obama is building his own miniature Potemkin villages by exploiting the census to create the illusion of job growth, even when those jobs are part time and temporary, and dispensed by the government.

Meanwhile actual economics are predicting that the real jobless rate could hit 25 percent.

More jobs weakness ahead. More bearish than most, Lekas sees the headline unemployment rate rising to 10% in February and climbing to 15% or 16% by mid-year. Even more dire, he sees the "real" unemployment figure surging to 25%.

Lekas says companies still are focused on cutting costs and jobs to protect their top and bottom lines. Plus, an in-house compilation of household data shows Americans are under water, with unpaid bills and expenses outpacing income by hundreds of dollars a month. That should keep consumer spending down, which means less sales for companies and, thus, less incentive for them to add to payrolls.

And Obama's attempt to whitewash that with census jobs won't change the downward spiral he is sending America's economy into.

Shaikh Abdul-Rahman al-Barrak said in a fatwa the mixing of genders at the workplace or in education "as advocated by modernisers" is prohibited because it allows "sight of what is forbidden, and forbidden talk between men and women".

"Whoever allows this mixing ... allows forbidden things, and whoever allows them is an infidel and this means defection from Islam ... Either he retracts or he must be killed ... because he disavows and does not observe the Sharia," Barrak said.

"Anyone who accepts that his daughter, sister or wife works with men or attend mixed-gender schooling cares little about his honour and this is a type of pimping," Barrak said.

Can anyone seriously read this and still deny that Wilders is 100 percent correct?

But the West insists on bending over backward to them. And so also in London, an Imam who pretty much preaches death to everyone was invited to give a lecture on Islam and the Environment at Kings College.

Sheikh Abdullah Hakim Quick is due to speak at King's College's Strand campus at six tonight.

Peter Tatchell, of pressure group Outrage, accused university bosses of cowardice and “complicity with fundamentalism” by giving the preacher a public platform.

Sheikh Quick has denounced the “filth” of Jews and once gave a televised lecture in which he said the Islamic position on homosexuality is “death”.

He added: “Muslims are going to have to take a stand [against homosexuals] and it's not enough to call names.”

He is due to give a talk on the environment in an event organised by the University of London Union Islamic Society for its Green Week campaign.

Mr Tatchell said: “King's College would not host a white supremacist who advocated racism or death to black people… King's College has an equal opportunities policy that prohibits the promotion of hatred against minorities, but it is not enforcing it.

"The university is not a safe place for Jewish and gay students when it facilitates a vicious homophobe and anti-Semite like Sheikh Abdullah Quick.”

He claimed that the university's attitude represented “collusion with the gateways to terrorism”.

A King's College spokeswoman said Sheikh Quick's talk would be on “environmental problems, Islamic solutions”, adding: “He has already spoken at other universities without controversy and there is no indication that the topic of his talk will be controversial.

Naturally, what could possibly be controversial here?

The Obama Administration is fighting the asylum ruling that gives shelter in the US to a German homeschooling family. This coming from the same government that has opened the door to people infected with the AIDS virus to come to the US.

AIDS yes, Homeschooling, no.

Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a top Democrat who left rather than support Obama, has nailed him in a Daily Beast article.

His is an effort to make a bigger, more intrusive and more costly government. His hope is, and has always been, to turn the country into a nation that looks more like a European social democracy. He ignores that the roots of our strength have always been small government and a dynamic private sector, fostered by both Democrats and Republicans. His cynical use of centrist language as a tool to get elected does not change the fact of his true objectives for America.
