Hemet police said Tuesday that they had arrested 16 people while serving search warrants at dozens of locations as part of an investigation into recent attacks against police and city property.
A Riverside County task force of local, state and federal officers took the suspects into custody after raiding about 35 locations and seizing 16 firearms, [...]

The homemade explosives can be sophisticated or crude. They’re often deadly. They’ve killed troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A man was detained at Toronto’s Pearson airport Tuesday morning trying to carry “suspicious materials” through security, CBC News has learned.The man intended to board a U.S.-bound flight just before 9 a.m. at Pearson’s Terminal One when security staff noticed something suspicious and detained him.
