WHEN I CHOSE the top three things a non-Muslim should know about Islam (in this article), one of them was taqiyya, which means lying or deceiving non-Muslims in the service of Islam. The following is a good video on taqiyya. It's a concept about which all of us should become well-versed because the skillful use of taqiyya is one of the primary reasons so many non-Muslims are not only ignorant about Islam, but self-righteously so.
