Ground Zero Mosque Leader’s Wife is One Cold Soldier

I watched a short video on Robert Spencer’s website, Jihad Watch [dot org]. It was linked from the Washington Post and was an interview by Sally Quinn with Daisy Khan, the wife of Feisal Rauf, the man behind the Cordoba Initiative to build a 13-story monster mosque just a couple of blocks from Ground Zero in New York, a story which I covered previously.

Watching Mrs. Kahn speak, I was struck by her callous and calculated delivery and choice of words. Before I get into what she said, I want to remind you that a major tenet of Islam is deception, or taqiyya, of non-Muslims. Gregory M. Davis in writing “Islam 101,” describes taqiyya thus,

“Due to the state of war between [Islam and non-Muslims] …systematic lying to the infidel, must be considered part and parcel of Islamic tactics. The parroting by Muslim organizations… that “Islam is a religion of peace,” or that the origins of Muslim violence lie in the unbalanced psyches of particular individual “fanatics,” must be considered as disinformation intended to induce the infidel world to let down its guard. Of course, individual Muslims may genuinely regard their religion as “peaceful” — but only insofar as they are ignorant of its true teachings…”

Daisy Khan sat there with Sally Quinn and gave a nice load of double-speak answers. Ms. Quinn asked her where the Cordoba House is. Cordoba House is the name of the proposed mosque, which name incidentally is an historical reference to the Islamic caliphate in Cordoba, Spain that was abolished in 1492. Daisy Kahn said the Cordoba House, which would be built where the Burlington Coat Factory building currently stands, is a couple of blocks from the site of the World Trade Center, and Mrs. Kahn said,

“…it’s been abandoned for the last nine years. Just sort of sitting vacant. It was struck by a plane, a piece of the fuselage fell into the building, and it was shut down since then. And it’s been vacant for nine years.”

It was struck by “a plane,” a piece of fuselage? It just happened to be struck by some ol’ plane without any help at all?

Ms. Quinn then asked her if they had deliberately chosen the site because of it’s nearness to Ground Zero, and instead of answering yes or no, a crafty Mrs. Kahn said,

“I think the building came to us, which goes to show that there is a symbolism there, and that there’s a divine hand in it. That it’s so close to the tragedy; that its close proximity is very symbolic for the fact that we really want to reverse what happened on 9/11. And it will be, in our opinion, it’ll be a very strong message to the extremists that a center of this scale that is where real coexistence and pluralism is being practiced, not only by Muslims, but–uh–people of other faiths. I believe it’s a very strong message that we’re giving.”

Oh, it would definitely send a strong message to the so-called extremists! Daisy Kahn is either ignorant of the teachings of Islam, or she’s lying. Her husband is an Islamic scholar, an imam, so I know she is not ignorant of her own religion. When she sits there and says this will send a very strong message, you should see the gleam in her eyes! The strong message is a message of victory and conquest. She says a “divine hand” brought the building to them. I suppose it’s that same divine hand that flew those jetliners into the twin towers and killed almost three-thousand people and also sent that piece of landing gear through the roof of the Burlington Coat Factory!

Notice that she calls the Muslim attacks on 9-11 a “tragedy” rather than the murderous act of war against America that it was. She claims that they really want to “reverse” what happened on 9-11. Well, that ain’t happening, and I would tell Mrs. Kahn that sticking a finger in the eye of the United States by pursuing the establishment of a monster mosque at Ground Zero is a very perverse way to go about that reversal attempt.

When she says that Cordoba House would be a coexisting, pluralistic place that welcomes people of all faiths, she’s being disingenuous. Islam’s followers do not coexist with other faiths; they only pretend to do so while they do not have the upper hand. Once Islam’s followers have infiltrated a country and subjugated that country’s people and system to Islam, then the true, intolerant face of Islam is revealed, and no other religion is tolerated. This is shown to be the case throughout history and in our modern world.

Ms. Quinn asked her if she was surprised at the negative reaction to the proposed mosque by 9-11 families. Mrs. Kahn admitted they were expecting some resistance, but not an organized resistance on such a large scale, and with condescension she said,

“We were expecting that some families might need some hand-holding. We might want to speak to them. But what we did not expect is a national coalition of people coming together, the majority of them coming from outside New York.”

She did not expect the entire country to rise up in outrage? Oh, really?! What? Did she think we would all just bow down like Obama to a foreign dictator?

Finally, Ms. Quinn asked if they’d ever had any second thoughts about going ahead with the mosque since they encountered this unexpected opposition. Mrs. Kahn coldly replied,

“Um, I think the symbolism of a project like this is too powerful, and we’ve not detoured from what we believe is the right thing to do.”

So, she keeps harping on the “symbolism” of the project. She and her husband and their mysterious backers don’t give a rip what America thinks–they’re going ahead anyway. This is not about building a bridge between Islam and the West. This is about symbolism. What symbolism? The symbolism of the sign of defeat at Ground Zero. This mosque would be a trophy, a memorial, to the victory of the Muslim world on September 11th, 2001. If it were really about “reaching out” to others, then they could easily avoid spitting in the face of America by finding another location to erect their mosque-strosity–one that’s not within spitting distance of Ground Zero.

I certainly hope this disgusting attempt to defile that sacred ground will be duly squashed by those who have the power to duly squash it.
