Militants with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria recently staged a festive public execution in Syria where small children were welcomed to the event as spectators.
In video of the event posted online, a child can clearly be seen toting a machine gun and dozens of others take front row seats among the other spectators. On at least two occasions, a baby can be heard crying in the background.
The point-blank execution shooting of the two men, who were not identified, was capped off by enthusiastic shouts of “Allahu akbar” and the crucifixion-style tying up of the slain men as a chilling deterrent to those who oppose the jihadist terrorist group.

The dead bodies were paraded right in front of the children who had come out to watch the show.
The Middle East Media Research Institute reported that the outdoor execution occurred in the main square of Manbij outside Syria’s largest city of Aleppo and that the video was posted online by ISIS on June 8.
According to MEMRI, which provided a translation of the video, the photographer began by explaining that the square was “being prepared for the execution of Allah’s enemies, the Alawites. The place is being prepared. People are watching. They are happy that the infidels are about to be executed.”
The Sunni militant group is fighting President Bashar Assad, whose Alawite minority has ruled Syria for decades and against the Shiite leadership in next-door Iraq. Thousands of foreign fighters have traveled to the battlefield to join the jihad, including apparently the photographer who gave his commentary in Russian.
An announcer warned over a loudspeaker that any spectators who shot their firearms or filmed the scene would be sent to prison.
The announcer then led the crown in chants of “Allah akbar!” and “the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant … is here to stay!”

With a boy holding a machine gun nearby, the two men were shot in the head from behind by masked adult ISIS members. The shooting of its opponents from behind while their hands are tied has become a hallmark of the group.

“You must return to Allah. Life in this world is useless and Allah will not grant conquests to the Muslims until they truly repent,” a preacher announced.
The rebels then hanged the bodies crucifixion style to be left as a warning in the town’s main square.
At the 2:50 and 3:00 marks in the video, the shrieks of a baby could be heard, suggesting a baby may have been brought to the event.
TheBlaze cannot independently confirm the authenticity of the video, but it is similar to images emerging recently from both Syria and neighboring Iraq where ISIS is trying to overthrow the governments and institute a hardline Sunni state guided by sharia law.
