Who are we to believe? The founder of the Islamic Party of Canada, or the Quran?

This pandering to the Canadian Christian community by the founder of the Islamic Party of Ontario at a Doug Ford campaign event is shocking and totally disingenuous.
Christians and the followers of Islam have many of the same moral stricture that they follow.  However, biblical principles and Quranic principles follow two very distinct and separate roads.
In a speech presented at a rally for Doug Ford, Conservative leader for Ontario, Jawed Anwer, founder of the Islamic Party of Ontario stated:
"We request our Christian brothers and sisters to join hands with Muslims having Islamic faith. Together we can struggle to restore and build back our religious values in education and public life."
He is calling on Christians to join hands with Muslims?  In mosques throughout Canada, imams regularly call for annihilation of Jews and Christians.
In 2017,  imam Elkasrawy of Toronto majid called for victory over the 'disbelieving people'.  As a result, Ryerson university, who employed this Imam, terminated his employ as a result of this supplication.

British Columbia Imam Younus Kathrada tells youth that Christians during the Christmas holiday are committing crimes worse than adultery and murder,   that Muslims “must be offended” by Christians’ beliefs, in a video of his sermon provided by the Middle East Media Research.

Calgary Imam Syed Soharwardy  dedicated his Friday sermon in April 2015 to countering extremists’ narrative that Christians and Muslims are at war. Yet, the Quran states in Surah 5:51
O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people.
What is one to believe? The rhetoric of the founder of the Islamic Party of Ontario, or what other Imams in Canada are saying, but more importantly, what the Quran says about Christians?
