Brigitte Gabriel Visits the Set of “Dallas”

by Guy Rodgers, Executive Director

Dear Solstice,

Late last year Brigitte Gabriel received the most surprising birthday present she has ever gotten – a visit to “Southfork Ranch,” the set of the once highly-rated TV show “Dallas.”

For those of you who have read Brigitte’s first book Because They Hate, you may recall the significance of “Dallas” to Brigitte. While she was living in the bomb shelter under her home, her father was able to rig up a car battery to a small TV set, and Brigitte was able to watch episodes of “Dallas” and “The Love Boat.” This is how she learned to speak English!!

When Brigitte and I were in Dallas for a series of events, our host, and ACT! for America member and supporter, surprised both of us by arranging a private tour of Southfork Ranch.

I’ll never forget the look on Brigitte’s face as we drove up that long drive to the ranch house, when she figured out where we were!
