The Trial of Ezra Levant

“I’m fighting for my own freedom this week. But it’s not just me. If I lose – if Khurrum Awan, the
man who tried to censor Mark Steyn wins – it will set a terrible precedent for the whole country.

Everyone – journalists, politicians, and of course every Canadian citizen –
will be afraid to speak out against the likes of the Canadian Islamic Congress.
It’s already tough enough with political correctness.”
‘Exceedingly political’libel case pits free speech advocate Ezra Levant against ‘master of lawfare’
Pitting a Regina lawyer against a nationally known television personality who describes himself as “one of Canada’s premier advocates of free expression,” Khurrum Awan v. Ezra Levant is one of several defamation suits that arose from the fight over hate speech bans in human rights law.

Ezra Levant receives Danish Sappho Award
“Your story is a frightening example of how far a Western country is willing to go to combat so-called “hate speech”. It is also an edifying tale about the difference a lone citizen can make. Your struggle for the freedom of expression has set an example for all freedom-loving Westerners, said Danish free speech advocate Lars Hedegaard.

On International Women’s Day remember Bano Shahdady. In Canada, she threw away her Burka, only to be killed by her husband disguised in a Burka
Bano Shahdady deserves better. Not only did she fight her attacker — by clawing at him and surviving his strangulation attempts for a full 30 minutes — but she also fought the Islamist social ideology that had kept her a vassal in her own home. This is the story nobody else will tell.
RCMP charge missing Toronto financier with $4.3-million mortgage fraud
The RCMP has filed fraud charges against a Toronto Islamic financier who went missing after he allegedly pocketed $4.3-million in mortgage payments from Muslim homeowners and used the money to buy himself gold bars, silver coins and electronics.
Why is there a total news blackout on this case? Is the Canadian government afraid that this case, which was obviously Islam-inspired (with “John Nuttall,” his Muslim name as usual not given, clutching a Qur’an in court), will be the occasion for unfavorable coverage regarding Islam? The case is under a publication ban and virtually everything said in a Vancouver courtroom Friday, aside from the dates of the couple’s hearings, cannot be reported.
Great Debate between Salim Mansur, the realist and Douglas Saunders, the idealist on Muslim immigration
In a country where journalists are persecuted by human rights commissions for uttering politically incorrect commentary, when ethnic groups slap the “racist” label on those who hurt their feelings, and politicians are too cowardly to even discuss immigration policies lest they lose a vote, the fact that a prominent organization like the Macdonald-Laurier Institute would stage such an event is noteworthy.
Here is the Debate:  “Resolved: Muslim immigration is no threat to Canada nor the West” with Salim Mansur, Professor of Political Science, Western University and Douglas Saunders, The Globe and Mail
Five Ways the Islamic War on Free Speech Advanced Last Week
Islamic organizations, led by the 57-government Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), have for years been trying to intimidate the West into criminalizing criticism of Islam, so as to render us mute and defenseless in the face of the advancing jihad. Last week, their effort made a few small but significant advances.
Freedom Is Not Free

It doesn't matter what rights you have under the Constitution of the United States, if the government can punish you for exercising those rights. And it doesn't matter what limits the Constitution puts on government officials' power, if they can exceed those limits without any adverse consequences. In other words, the Constitution cannot protect you, if you don't protect the Constitution with your votes against anyone who violates it. Those government officials who want more power are not going to stop unless they get stopped.

FBI Agent: U S. has Evidence to Indict CAIR for Terror
The Justice Department has enough incriminating evidence to file terrorism charges against the Council on American-Islamic Relations and its founders but has chosen not to indict the Washington-based group and its leaders at this time, a veteran FBI agent reveals in a shocking new book. There is enough evidence to indict CAIR, but the government chose not to do so at this time,” said former FBI official John Guandolo.  FBI Agent: U. S. has Evidence to Indict CAIR for Terror
Peace through Strength
In all of history, there has been only ONE way to even get close to lasting peace, and negotiations ain't it: make war so painful, so undesirable that the war-maker appeals for peace.  The question, then, is how to make war painful?  The concept of Peace Through Strength is it.  Build an arsenal of weapons, be prepared to inflict pain, then be willing to use it.  Key word: willing.  Show the war maker that his efforts will be painful to him, more painful than what he can inflict on his enemy.  Then, if he continues, inflict pain.  Don't keep drawing red lines

The tragic farce of the UN Human Rights Council
It is both farcical and tragic that the international community has allowed countries with egregious and ongoing human rights violations to sit on a UN body charged with the protection of those rights. This enabling constitutes an indefensible validation of the violators’ actions in the name of the UN — in breach of its own mandate — and an intolerable betrayal of the victims.

Iran's Beloved poet, Hashem Shaabani, could not escape the hangman's noose. His crime? Voicing his opinion, speaking out against the repression of ethnic Arabs by the Islamic regime in Iran. Since the regime sees itself as "God's representative on earth," there is no freedom of speech or disagreement. A person's fate is sealed when he or she publicly criticizes the government.

"Speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves.
Ensure (make certain) justice for those being crushed."

REMEMBERING ANDREW BREITBART
February 1, 1969 – March 1, 2012

ANDREW BREITBART: ‘Your Peril Will be My Peril’
“Lastly, I’m not going to pretend that I was super close to Andrew because I wasn’t. Once the ACORN dust settled we spoke just a few times over the phone, on my show and in DC. That said, I was close enough and our relationship was under enough duress that we had to trust each other and navigate serious rapids. I’m here to tell you that I found Breitbart to be a man of integrity who walked what he talked.”

Ben Shapiro from TruthRevolt

We can never stop fighting. It means that we can’t get tired, that we can’t get bored and we can’t be distracted.” 48 seconds to inspire you.

Surrounded by Anti-Israel Haters, Ben Shapiro did what we all wish we could do.
Ben Shapiro makes the trip to his Alma Mater, UCLA, to make a 2 minute statement against the BDS, a pro-Palestinian movement who supports boycotting Israeli products made in Judea and Samaria. “I have never been more ashamed to be an alumnus of this university,” Shapiro tells the audience. Shapiro’s audacity and courage made it possible for more Israel supporters to speak up at the BDS hearing, and, ultimately, the proposal was voted down.
