OTTAWA — RCMP have charged three more Ottawa-area men with terror offences, two of whom authorites are hunting, including infamous ISIS propaganda video spokesman John Maguire, who was reportedly killed in Syria.

Court documents show Awso Peshdary, 25, has been charged with conspiring with alleged homegrown jihadist John Maguire who was reportedly killed in Syria last month.

Maguire was featured in ISIS propaganda videos calling for attacks on Canada.

Mounties have charged him in absentia because they have no proof he died in Syria.
Peshdary had previously been arrested in Project Samossa, a 2010 Ottawa terror probe, but later cut loose.

Also charged in absentia is Khadar Khalib, 23, who is accused of conspiring with Peshdary, leaving the country to participate in a terror group and counselling a third man to contribute to terror.
RCMP are set to host a news conference at 3 p.m. announce the arrests.

Three weeks ago three other Ottawa men were rounded up and accused of being part of a terrorist group.

Twin brothers Ashton and Carlos Larmond, 24, were charged Jan. 9 with participating in the activity of a terrorist group. Ashton Larmond was also charged with instructing to carry out activity for a terrorist group and Carlos is also accused of attempting to leave Canada to participate in terrorist activity abroad. He was arrested a Montreal airport.

On Jan. 12, police charged Suliman Mohamed, 21, also from Ottawa, with participating in the activity of a terrorist group and conspiracy to participate in a terrorist activity with the Larmond brothers.
The RCMP confirmed the arrests of the Larmond brothers and Mohamed are linked.

At the time, police also indicated their investigation is ongoing, but refused to be more specific.
There’s no indication if the arrests to be announced Tuesday are connected with the earlier arrests.
