Daniel Pipes will speak at the Institute for Counter-Terrorism's conference on Monday. The panel he is on runs from 5:30 to 7:30 a.m. EDT tomorrow, Sept. 13, and he will speak about 6 a.m.

(In Western European or Israeli time, that's 11:30 to 1:30, with him speaking about noon; Middle Eastern time is an hour later.)

The conference can be watched live at http://www.pictureit.co.il/ict/

He will address a plenary session on the topic of "Terrorism without Islamism." A brief excerpt from his talk:

The establishment – meaning politicians, law enforcement, the media, and academics – insists on denying that Islamism is the motive for contemporary terrorism. I shall argue that this reluctance has two important implications: it obstructs counterterrorism efforts and it increases the likelihood of terrorism. I shall establish these points by documenting this denial, noting some important exceptions, explaining it, and concluding with recommendations to address this problem.
