Brigitte Gabriel speaking at a recent event for ACT! for America

Benghazi and free speech
"But it is vital to recognise that America is a dramatic outlier when it comes to the freedom to express inflammatory, hatemongering, racist speech. In this regard, we are different from virtually every other liberal democracy…

…It will take a bold Supreme Court to change the current interpretation of the First Amendment…"

So wrote Erik Bleich, a political science professor at Middlebury College, in a column that appeared in al Jazeera online, in the aftermath of the Benghazi terrorist attack.

The voices calling for suppression of free speech in America are growing. We're glad America is "different from virtually every other

liberal democracy" when it comes to free speech. But we need to defend it.

Nearly 14,000 people have signed our open letter to the U.S. House leadership calling for a select committee to investigate the Benghazi terror attack.

Consider what Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said last Thursday: "The United States military is not…a global 911 service…"

Not even when one of our embassies is attacked????
