Japan's radioactive water - the impact on humans and wildlife

A major leak from the Fukushima nuclear plant last week has released radioactive water into the ground. We discuss with John Large, a nuclear consultant, how worrying this is, how the situation is being tackled, and what the implications are for the environment. He compares the situation with Chernobyl.
One of the chief concerns is the method of releasing 'safe' levels of the radioactive into the marine environment which effectively disperses the particles and so can have a negative impact on human and wildlife. The Fukushima nuclear plant was originally damaged by an earthquake and tsunami in 2011.
