Hundreds of People Expected from All Over South Florida:
All Political Parties and All Faiths to Attend

Rally to Urge Representative Schultz to
Vote Against the Iran Deal

MEDIA ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND

·      Debbie Wasserman Schultz is the U.S. Representative for Florida’s huge 23rd congressional district and the Chair of the Democratic National Committee.  In the past, Wasserman Schultz has been extremely vocal about issues.  She’s usually one of the first representatives in Washington to speak her peace and vote on an issue.
·      However, when it comes to the controversial deal with Iran, Wasserman Schultz has been silent. Despite a majority of the people she represents in her district being opposed to the Iran deal, Wasserman Schultz has not said whether she supports or opposes the deal.  .
·      The people of South Florida are very unhappy that she hasn’t stated her opposition to the deal and they are planning to join a national movement to rally on Monday, August 31 at 5:35 pm, outside of Wasserman Schultz’s Aventura office.  The significance of the rally being held at 5:35 pm is that there are 535 members of Congress across America whose votes against the Iran deal are needed.  A network of 535 local rallies will take place at the local offices of the 535 Members of Congress at 5:35pm. Although part of a national movement, the rally in South Florida is expected to be among the largest in the nation, since Wasserman Schultz is the head of the DNC.
·      When asked if she will stand by Israel and vote against the Iran deal, Wasserman Schultz states that she is still making up her mind.  Yet, on almost every other issue, she is on the air, being outspoken about her immediate vote.
·      Les Feldman, publisher of regional editions of Playbill through America for over 35 years, has been a resident of Weston, FL (Wasserman Schultz’ home base) for close to 20 years. Feldman states, “In the past, before she became the DNC Chair, she was a big supporter of Israel; but now, she’s completely absent from this cause. It’s become apparent at this moment she doesn’t stand with Israel when Israel needs her the most.”
·      Feldman continues, “She’s more interested in being the DNC chair than a representative of South Florida.”
·      The amount of people in South Florida, especially in Wasserman Schultz’ district, who are dissatisfied is huge.  It’s even a hot topic all over social media. The people are outraged and want to let Wasserman Schultz know that she needs to stand by the people who voted for her, rather than advance her career.
·      According to the people of South Florida, we didn’t elect her to be the chair of the DNC; we elected her as our representative to represent our interests.
·      The rally on Monday will represent the consensus of what a majority of people in Wasserman Schultz’s district feel.
·      Joshua Shemtov, a resident who is part of Wasserman Schultz’s district states, “When people come out on Monday and use their voices, then maybe Debbie Wasserman Schultz will use hers to come out against the Iran deal.”
·      This is an opportunity for the citizens within Wasserman Schultz’s district to make a difference.  She has been given a chance to change the world for the better with one statement.  With one statement opposing the Iran deal, Wasserman Schultz can influence others and show that both parties stand by Israel.  The time is now to make that statement.  Waiting to make that statement at the time of the vote is too late.
·      The rally will take place at the office of Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on August 31 at 5:35pm.  The address is 19200 W. Country Club Drive, Aventura, FL 33180.  For more information, visit www.StopIran535.com.
