LIBERAL LIE: ‘Stopping Europe’s Refugee Flood Is Lack of Compassion’ – Here’s Reality

LIBERAL LIE: ‘Stopping Europe’s Refugee Flood Is Lack of Compassion’ – Here’s Reality

Dennis Prager recently said of liberals’ position on any given topic (paraphrase), “I feel compassion, so I drop the standard.”

As an example, both the Left and the Right feel for gay people, but leftists go further and decide to drop the entire standard of traditional marriage to push for gay marriage — under the scam of compassion, of course. If you disagree, you’re a “homophobic nutjob” – quote from a friend who said that. The Left and Right feel for minorities, but leftists again go further and drop standards of behavior in blacks who commit the vast majority of murders against each other. Thus, Black Lives Matter. If you disagree, you’re racist.

On to the refugee crisis. Hundreds of thousands in the Middle East are fleeing their home countries to come to Europe. We all feel compassion for their plight. Who wouldn’t? Between the choice of enduring starvation, persecution, rape, torture, dismemberment, and decapitation versus the mere chance to at least live in poverty but in peace – who wouldn’t risk oceans, mountains, fire, and armies to get there?

Let’s not even mention the fact that, once you make it safely to your host country, you may not have to live in poverty as there are wagons of government benefits that may sustain your next three generations. This is no different than people coming up from Central and South America, seeking a better life in the US and Canada. We understand why; that was never the issue. Therefore, let the record state: We don’t blame you for seeking refuge. For the Left, merely understanding isn’t good enough.

I love Harry Potter author JK Rowling. I think she has done more to get children and adults to read than anyone. If you like her as much as I, you may not like what she tweeted on September 3 in relation to this crisis:

If you can’t imagine yourself in one of those boats, you have something missing. They are dying for a life worth living.

While I don’t know the rest of her politics, and don’t want to know, in this case at least Rowling makes the mistake Leftists usually make in that she thinks anyone who doesn’t allow a refugee family to move into his home is heartless.

Ms. Rowling, and anyone making similar accusations, take five minutes to think about what’s going on. Whether you know it or not, we are at war with Islam. While a subject for another day, the peaceful practitioners of this religion are the radicals, not the violent jihadis. Not readily accepting refugees – again, the majority of which are peaceful – doesn’t automatically mean we wish them all to die in desperation. Because we’re at war with Islam, however, it means the open arms we welcome all refugees with could be cut off by the jihadis among them.

Even Donald Trump is on the “we have to take them in” side. Who’s “we”? When we take them in, we have to pay for their food, clothing, housing, education, medical care, and transportation. Economically, do you think this taxpayer support would lift us up or bring us down? After all, would we expect the oppressed to seek employment after their harrowing journey? If we are to move forward with mass migration into the developed world, is it too much to ask that these people be kept in emergency camps so we can at least weed out disease and – most importantly – who among them might be terrorists intent on killing the rest of us?

Should we not look at who’s coming and in what physical condition they’re in? Look at the pictures of these people. I’ve seen these people described as healthy, young, male, and of military age. Would it surprise you to know the story surrounding the famous drowning Syrian boy picture is full of holes?

Why travel to countries like Germany or France, some 2,500 miles from Syria, passing 10 or so other countries, to land in an area where no one speaks their language? Why not seek wealthy nations like Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, etc. where most speak at least a passable Arabic dialect?
Why now? The Syrian civil war broke out in 2011, but the refugees aren’t just Syrian. They’re from all over the Middle East and North Africa, who have endured similar horrors for a generation. Could this be part of a grand scheme?
And now a hijrah of a much greater magnitude is upon us. Evidence that this is a hijrah, not simply a humanitarian crisis, came last February, but was little noted at the time and almost immediately forgotten. The Islamic State published a document entitled, “Libya: The Strategic Gateway for the Islamic State.” Gateway into Europe, that is: the document exhorted Muslims to go to Libya and cross from there as refugees into Europe. This document tells would-be jihadis that weapons from Gaddafi’s arsenal are plentiful and easy to obtain in Libya – and that the country “has a long coast and looks upon the southern Crusader states, which can be reached with ease by even a rudimentary boat.”
As we take silence today in remembrance of the 14th anniversary of the terrible attacks on September 11, 2001, let’s keep in mind what happened, who perpetrated the events, and how we felt that day. Let’s take special note in how we felt the following day, September 12, so as to not lose focus on what we must do to survive.

Share if you think caution is in order regarding the refugees flooding out of the Middle East and North Africa.
