"Saberin" killed in Syria. The Saberin is a unit modeled after
Western special forces.

Two small jihadist groups in Damascus, Ansar al Sharia and Al
Muntasir Billah, have sworn allegiance to Al Nusrah Front, al Qaeda's
official branch in Syria. Several organizations have joined Al Nusrah since
late last year.

The attack took place in the tribal agency of Kurram, where the
al Qaeda-linked Haqqani Network is known to have moved its base of
operations.
