Cologne migrant sex attack suspects were carrying GUNS and firing bullets into the air
THE German police operation hunting the Cologne New Year sex attackers took a new twist yesterday when officers revealed two of the men being sought appeared to have been using a gun.
CENPolice who appear convinced that the gun was in fact genuine and firing real bullets have now decided to release images of the pair, asking for anyone who can identify them to get in touch immediately.
It was only by accident that somebody was not seriously injured by this action
The shocking images come after police arrested two men in connection with the sex attacks after publishing photos of five suspects.
A 26-year-old man with Algerian roots was arrested in Kerpen, 18 miles from the city.
He is accused of sexual assault and attempted robbery for reportedly surrounding and groping women.
Police said they had been tipped off by local residents about the man after they saw his photo in local papers.
Another 31-year-old man turned himself into police in the city of Hamm and it’s believed police also questioned a 16-year-old boy in Hanover.
CEN
CENA police statement read: "Despite the alarming situation, we managed to find more witnesses and victims with photos of the suspects.
"Some of the photos came from security cameras, others from witnesses."
