Muslims Worried About Backlash From Fake Hate Crimes Backlash
"US Muslims Concerned About Fallout From False Reports of Hate Crimes"This comes after two of the fake Muslim hate crimes from the "rash" of post-election "hate crimes" were shown to be fakes. But if you didn't believe the last fake backlash, here's a fake backlash for the fake backlash.
In any case, our Islamist friends assure us that a few fake hate crimes shouldn't spoil all the real fake hate crimes.
After two reports of anti-Muslim hate crimes were determined to be fake by authorities this month, the Muslim community is concerned that these "few false reports" are going to "unfairly discredit and delegitimize the dozens of real anti-Muslim hate crimes and instances Islamophobia out there," according to the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC).Except that two of the post-November "hate crimes" were shown to be hoaxes. And a suspicious number of them have seen no arrests or other legal action. And there weren't all that many of them to begin with. We now have three Muslim college students who faked high profile attacks. This is getting to be a pattern.
Ibrahim Hooper, national communications director for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), told ABC News today that he believes the false reports are "statistically inevitable when you have such a large pool of reports."
"I think these cases are a function of the tremendous spike in the number of anti-Muslim hate crimes in recent weeks, particularly after the November election," Hooper said. "As with any type of reporting, a certain small percentage of them are going to turn out to be false."
