Weekly Think Piece ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fighting Back - The Resistance Is Growing
Several times over the last couple of months, I have received emails praising the works of the anti-jihadist bloggers. But in the emails and blog comments there is also the sense of frustration that something must be done about the Islamist threat and not just talk about it.
It's been almost 10 years since 9-11 and as time passes on, its memory diminished while the colophony of appeasing and apologist voices has increased. To many this seems like a retreat from the lessons learned by 9-11 and the defeatists and appeasers in our political leadership, mains stream media and institutions seem to be ruling the day. "Where is the resistance by the general public?" "Why haven't we learned the lessons of 9-11?" "Where is the progress in confronting the Islamo-fascist ideology?" "Why isn't the obvious threat seen and reported by the main stream media?" "Where is the leadership?"
"It's been ten years? Where's the progress against those who seek to rob us of our freedoms and kill us if we don't submit?"
There is reason - and now there's a growing organizational resistance.
First the reason. Before 9-11 there was very little awareness or even and understanding of Islam by non-Muslims. I know myself and just about every anti-jihadist blogger out there today had to teach themselves about the nature of Islam and how it has became a threat to the civilized world. We had to go from almost complete ignorance - previously blinded by apologist books, articles, speakers and organizations on Islam and political leaders who assured us that Islam was a religion of peace - to teaching what we have learned about the true nature of Islam and it propensity for radicalism to those in the bloggospher that would listen.
Going from ignorance to understanding to activists to teachers in 6 years is no small task while at the same time fighting those who would support the Islamist agenda with disinformation while nurturing the useful idiots who would apologize and appease for the Islamists in the name of political correctness and multiculturalism.
When I become frustrated with the slow pace, I have to tell myself that the growth of resistance takes time. The good news is that the organizational resistance, not just the personal kind, is growing. Here are just some of the growing resistance movements that have come online over the last 6 months or so.
The Society of Americans for National Existence or SANE
The Society of Americans for National Existence or SANE is what its name declares: a society of sane Americans dedicated to preserving and strengthening America's national existence. By national existence we mean what you normally mean when speaking of such matters. America is a unique people bound together through a commitment to America's Judeo-Christian moral foundation and to an enduring faith and trust in G-d and in His Providence.
Roundup Of Western Government-Enforced Dhimmitude
This is a categorized roundup of domestic and international acts of "official" dhimmitude --- submission by governments, and the agencies and institutions they control, to the intimidation and demands of radical Islamists (most often disguised as "civil rights" activists) --- that isn't available anywhere else.
From "official" acts that enable militant Islamism, to ostracizing or prosecuting anyone who criticizes or opposes it, to whitewashing the reality of it, to looking the other way when one's culture is being progressively balkanized and subverted by it, this blogpost links you to information that is vital to understanding the true depth and breadth of this phenomenon, both here in the U.S. and elsewhere.

SIOE - Stop the Islamisation of Europe
Stop Islamisation Of Europe (SIOE) is an alliance of people across Europe with the single aim of preventing Islam becoming a dominant political force in Europe.
It originated with the joining of Stop Islamificering Af Danmark (SIAD), a political party dedicated to stopping the Islamisation in Denmark, with a loose association of people in England, whose rallying cry is "No Sharia Here", who want to maintain English law and want to stop the creeping growth of sharia law in England. SIOE is growing in Europe with the amalgamation of similarly minded groups.
Finally, there are organizations created by Muslims themselves to combat Islamism and their objectives.
American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD)
American Islamic Forum for Democracy (AIFD) was formed in March of 2003 by a group of Muslim professionals in the Phoenix Valley of Arizona. The group's founder is M. Zuhdi Jasser, M.D. He felt that AIFD could formally articulate the fact that in commentary and scholarship that many Muslims believe that they are able to practice their faith more freely and more Islamically (in a personal and secular fashion which is most suited to preserve one's faith) in America than in any other place in the world.
AIFD seeks to make a small contribution to the body of thought which articulates an understanding of Islam which separates religion and state and is in complete harmony with the U.S. Constitution and our citizenship pledge. Through these founding principles of constitutional, secular (religious freedom free of theocracy and government coercion, and Islamic hegemony), AIFD would also serve as an example of an American Islamic institution which can be a leading voice for liberty-minded Muslims in America in the war on terror.
We should all watch and support personally and in our blogs these organizations.
Viva la resistance!
