ANNOUNCING OUR JUNE CHAPTER LEADER(S) OF
THE MONTH

By Kelly Cook, National Field Director

Dear Solstice,

It is my pleasure to announce
ACT! for America’s newest “Chapter Leader(s) of the Month”! This
feature highlights the activities of our various chapters operating from
all over the U.S. and the world! We regularly receive updates from our
hard working volunteer chapter leaders and will be sharing with you “the
inside scoop” on their many successes.

You may not be aware of
what our nearly 300 chapters accomplish or how essential strong chapters
are to our success in confronting radical Islam.

We grow large by
growing small. It is the fundamental integrity and strength of each
committed chapter leader (plus his or her dedicated volunteers) that will
collectively empower ACT! for America’s ability to roll back the threat of
radical Islam and secure your children’s security for decades to come.

It’s my hope that many of you will realize that our dedicated
chapter leaders are really not superhuman. They are people just like you
and I who are concerned about our nation’s future security. From what I’ve
heard from our chapter leaders, many had self doubts about their ability
to lead — but they also tell me that as they follow this process we’ve
carefully designed for chapter development, their confidence in their
ability to lead a vibrant chapter grows with every passing month!

Some of the best chapter leaders have also volunteered to mentor
new chapter leaders. By tapping into this experience, our newest chapter
leaders can be guided by the steady hand of experience — experience that
only comes through the crucible of actually leading a successful chapter.

You may be wondering, “How does one volunteer chapter leader
accomplish so much?” “How do they run a family, a business, and a chapter
and yet have time for mentoring others who want to do the same?” I learned
a long time ago to delegate important tasks and responsibilities to busy
people. They have a knack for multi-tasking and always allowing the
highest priorities to rise to the top of their task lists!

The
recipient(s) of this month’s award are no exception to this rule.
It is
my pleasure to announce that our June 2009 Chapter Leader of the Month
Award is in fact, another Co-Chapter Leaders of the Month team:

Susan and Saul, co-chapter leaders of our Houston / Sugar Land,
Texas Chapter!

These two dynamic leaders teamed up shortly
after the chapter was formed and have been active doing the following:

  • They have hosted our recent highly successful
Citizens in Action Training Conference in Houston.

  • Susan and Saul are the official coordinators for
Brigitte Gabriel’s public event to be held on June 30 in Houston.

    See this link for details:

  • Susan personally mentors over 30 chapter leaders
    around the nation.

  • Saul leads a successful international business and yet
still carves out quality time for the chapter.

  • Their chapter recently wrote every university and
high school in the Houston metro area exposing the agenda of the Muslim
    Student Association:

    • Several of the schools were unaware of the threat and
      sincerely appreciated the information.

  • They regularly visit other organizations
spreading the word about the threat of radical Islam.

  • They have over 30 active participants in their monthly
    meetings.

  • In a recent film screening of Home Grown Jihad, their
chapter had a sellout crowd of 120 at the theater with twice this number
    on the waiting list.

  • They have 186 members on their email list.

  • They initiated the recent Action Alert to all Texas
members urging Governor Perry to veto a bill designed to weaken parental
input and local control on the critical textbook selection process.

Susan’s advice to all chapter leaders: “Mix it up! Get
involved in spreading the word to your community. Don’t be content with
just communicating with your core volunteers.”

To all who observe
Saul, it is obvious that he is a mover and shaker. He could be engineering
yet another business deal, but he carves out the time to run a successful
chapter as well, because he knows the absolute importance of making a
difference in our nation before it is too late.

This very productive chapter, which includes their dedicated team
of volunteers, is exactly what we had in mind when we instituted the
chapter concept.

In short, Saul and Susan’s consistent efforts
serve as an example that when we all do a little, together we accomplish a
lot!

Consider starting or helping a chapter today. Realize that
besides a small monthly Patriot Partner pledge of at least $20 to ACT! for
America, this is the single most important thing you can do to stop
radical Islam cold. Tens of thousands of people, all accomplishing the
same objectives, will get this job done! Don’t risk sitting this out! You
are needed!
