Today we launch our “Citizen Appeal to the 112th Congress.” Among our ten point National Security appeal, we are calling on Congress to… Secure our border and protect us from the increasing flow of terrorists into America. Oppose any accommodation to shariah law. Address the threat of the Muslim Brotherhood and its front organizations in America. Pressure the Obama administration to accurately define our enemy as “jihadists.” Oppose civilian criminal trials for enemy combatants. Amend our humanitarian refugee acts to require that all refugees who enter the United States swear under oath they will not support any theological totalitarian political system, under penalty of deportation. We understand that foremost on many voters’ minds were the issues of the economy, the national debt, and what became known as “Obamacare.” But defending our national security and our freedoms, which should be the top priority of our Congress in its fulfillment of the oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, must not be overlooked. The good news is we know there are many Members of Congress who agree with us, and some of them will be assuming key leadership positions in the new Congress. This grassroots “Citizen Appeal” will let them know we support their efforts. For those Members of Congress who are not paying the attention they should to these issues, our appeal will be a trumpet blast reminding them that failure to safeguard our national security is not acceptable to us.
