President Obama demurred when asked if he believes in American exceptionalism, but we are exceptional for very specific, measurable, substantive reasons. Does Mr. Obama support what is at the core of our exceptionalism?

Walesa was often arrested for speaking his mind against Communist oppression and for defying the Soviet Union. He became president of Poland, pushing the Soviet Union out of his homeland and moving the country toward a free-market economy and individual liberty. Obama doesn't want him to set foot in the White House.
