“The urge to save humanity is almost always
a false front for the urge to rule”
~ H. L. Mencken ~
Time to
Demand Human Rights in the Middle East
For all the flaming liberals who scream about equal
rights, discrimination and the like, where are these people when it comes to
women’s rights in the Middle East? They
should pay more attention to the rest of the Middle East and stop worrying about
Israel. Instead of attacking Israel stupidly, focus on the
terrorists and terrorizers of all those who don’t subscribe to their exact way
of life.
Denying Islam's Role in Terror: Explaining the Denial
While
respecting the urge not to aggravate Muslim sensibilities and acknowledging
that the frank discussion of Islam can have major consequences for ordering
society, Daniel Pipes insists on the need to mention Islam.
Extreme Islamist Group Denies "Hate Preaching"
Three of the iERA's
"advisors" have been
banned from entering the UK,
because of their extremist statements and support for terror. It is noteworthy,
however, that the iERA does not consider stoning women and homosexuals to death
extremism. But if this is not enough to constitute hate preaching, what is?
Courage? The State Department?
If the U.S. government is truly serious about honouring
those who want reform in the Muslim world, why is it not honouring those people
who are sticking their necks out in stating their love for America and peace with Israel? Why is it not honouring
someone like Wafa Sultan, Ayaan Hirsi Ali - or Dr. Zuhdi Jasser or Tawfiq
Hamid, who still call themselves Muslims and are trying to reform Islam?

A Violent Kind of Silence
Remember the
feminists of the '60s? Women's liberation? Remember the women who
made feminism the issue of the day? The book that started the second wave of
feminism was The Feminine
Mystique, by Betty Friedan,
the doyenne of feminism. On the other side of the world, we can see
many problems for women in Muslim societies. But contrary to Friedan,
these problems "have
names": honour-killing, stoning for adultery, rape, child
marriage, sex slavery, and female genital mutilation (FGM).
Unholy Alliance
“If Pope Francis wants to give a clear signal, he could
begin by breaking the unholy alliance between the Vatican, fatwa-casting imams, and
Vladimir Putin.”
Christian Persecution
Escapes Attention
What does it say about our world when the
election of a new Pope becomes front and centre in the media while the wiping
out of an entire Christian neighbourhood, razed to the ground by a Muslim mob,
gets little or no coverage?
