There was
once an America that built its shining cities on a hill in the name of virtue.
That nation has been replaced by another nation that builds housing projects in
the name of guilt. We used to elect the best men for the job, or at least we
believed we did. Now we hold elections of guilt, deciding which oppressed
minority has been most shamefully overlooked, before casting our vote for a
more diverse and equitable society.
The Americans Who Risked Everything
Yesterday was Independence Day, and America celebrated 237 years of Independence from British rule. Once again, the
tide of tyranny has risen to threaten the freedom and liberty of all Americans,
in forms both direct and indirect. It is incumbent upon all Americans to
understand the price paid by the Founding Fathers to ensure our Liberty, and to
take its example to heart.
Living
in a Backwards World
We
are living in a world in which respectable and knowledgeable anti-jihadist
freedom fighters Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller are forbidden entry to the
U.K. as disturbers of public order and social peace while avowed terrorists are
welcomed into the country and allowed to live handsomely on the public dole. It
is in this same benighted nation that anti-Sharia activists Tommy Robinson and
Kevin Carroll of the English Defence League are arrested for entering a
Sharia-controlled zone in Tower Hamlets, a borough of London, on their way to
Woolwich to honor Drummer Lee Rigby, slaughtered by Islamic terrorists. As reported on The Gates of Vienna website, “the
Metropolitan police have now taken on the responsibility of enforcing the
borders of these shariah-controlled zones, applying the rules laid down by the
Islamic inhabitants.”
Lance
Bombardier Richard Field served in the Royal Canadian Artillery
Regiment
and fought for his country and the West as a young man in Europe in WWII. He is
now fighting against resurgent Islam, which he correctly identifies as a threat

The Eclipse of the British Empire
Like all empires throughout history, of
course, the sun eventually set on Britain’s, but that still does not explain
how such an accomplished, prideful and patriotic people could literally hand
their culture away to savages. Whether the U.K. is now paying the piper for its
colonialist past, is trying to appease the crocodile, or secretly harbors its
own resentment for its Jewish minority, one thing is certain: The sun has
indeed set on the British empire, and in more ways than one.
Egypt Unmoored
Morsi’s rush to impose the Muslim
Brotherhood’s rigid concept of Islamic law on the Egyptian people and his
government’s trampling on the rights of minorities prevented the rise of viable
competing opposition organizations that would be free to make their case to the
people in advance of the next round of elections. By removing all checks and
balances to his own powers and squelching popular voices of dissent, Morsi was
effectively rigging the political system to ensure the dominance of Muslim
Brotherhood political power for the long term. That is a subversion of a truly
functioning democratic process.

Dismiss the Egyptian People and Elect a New One
Egypt's people embraced the
military because they remember that the military used to feed them. In fact,
the military probably can alleviate the food crisis, because — unlike
the Muslim Brotherhood– Egypt's generals should be able to count on the support
of Saudi Arabia.

What happened is phenomenal and unprecedented in Egyptian
history. While millions of Egyptians cheered and partied until the early
morning on June 30th, and then again yesterday, following the sacking of Morsi,
there is, however, a flip side to the coin.
