KIA continued to advertise robustly on Al Jazeera America aka CurrentTV even after their corporate officials and sixty dealerships received thousands of emails voicing concern about their advertising support.   Florida Family Association sent out email alerts on July 15th and July 17th regarding KIA being a leading advertiser on Al Jazeera America.  KIA continues to advertise. Florida Family Association express mailed, faxed and emailed letters to officials at KIA which informed them that FFA plans to fly a banner stating KIA SPONSORS JIHAD TV on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 2 pm to 7 pm between the KIA and Hyundai headquarters in Irvine and Fountain Valley, respectively.  The letter informed KIA and Hyundai officials that Florida Family Association plans to issue a news release on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 announcing the banner campaign.  KIA is an affiliate of Hyundai Motors.  FFA is also planning subsequent banners for certain KIA dealerships. Approximately ONE HUNDRED ONE (101) companies have stopped advertising so far on this channel.  Al Jazeera, the Arabic news cable channel headquartered in the Middle East (Doha, Qatar), purchased the CurrentTV channel which has the potential of reaching millions of viewers in the United States.  Al Jazeera is a mouthpiece for radical Islamists.  Al Jazeera America is the new, tentative name for CurrentTV. KIA certainly has the right to choose where they use their advertising dollars.  You have the same right to object and choose products from another company.   Florida Family Association has prepared an email for you to send to four KIA corporate officials and 60 KIA dealership officials.
