And in every fight for freedom, there are “unsung heroes,” courageous souls who don’t get the spotlight. But without them freedom can’t prevail. We have many unsung heroes in ACT! for America. La Nell is one of them. La Nell has been a faithful monthly contributing “Patriot Partner” for over four years. We asked her why she so faithfully gives every month. Here’s what she said: Becoming a Patriot Partner seemed like the least that I could do to support Brigitte and ACT! for America as they work tirelessly to educate America about this ghastly enemy, radical Islam. I’ve seen ACT! for America grow first-hand, engaging in many worthwhile projects, none of which would be possible without the support of Patriot Partners. La Nell is an unsung hero – and we wouldn’t be where we are today without her. Without her and all our other faithful supporters, there wouldn’t be an organization known as ACT! for America, with 265,000 members and 850 chapters. And without ACT! for America, there wouldn’t be the string of successes, victories and accomplishments we’ve racked up fighting for freedom and against tyranny. (See our Victory Timeline.) Fighting for you and those you care about. Today we kick off our fall pledge drive, and I’m asking you to join La Nell and be a hero. Every Patriot Partner who makes a monthly gift is a hero. Every Contributing Member who makes a single gift is a hero. Our unsung heroes are helping leave a better America to their children and grandchildren. Like the tens of thousands of unsung heroes who stormed the beaches of Normandy, La Nell is helping us storm the strongholds of radical Islam. American Laws for American Courts (ALAC) recently became law in North Carolina. ACT! for America’s unsung heroes helped make that victory possible. The Brevard County, Florida chapter of ACT! for America succeeded in getting a school board resolution passed that declared a textbook biased and inaccurate on the subject of Islam. ACT! for America’s unsung heroes helped make that victory possible. If La Nell and the many other faithful financial supporters of ACT! for America had not courageously stepped up, there would have been no ALAC victory in North Carolina this year. Or in Oklahoma. Or in Kansas last year. Or in every other state where we’ve led the fight to get ALAC passed. Or every other victory we’ve won. So please, I appeal to you today, join the ranks of our heroes. And years from now, when your children or grandchildren ask you how America defeated radical Islam after it had consumed so much of Europe, you can proudly say… “We fought for freedom. We didn’t shrink from the challenge or run from the fight. And I’m proud to say I helped make that victory possible.” You’ll be a hero – and that’s a lot better than having to answer “why did America get overrun by radical Islam?” Europe is learning the hard way that failing to resist the rising tide of radical Islam has disastrous consequences. I’m not sure at this point they’ll be able to turn that tide. We can’t let that happen here. If patriots like you don’t act, there’s no guarantee we’ll win the struggle against radical Islam. And if we don’t, it’s our children and grandchildren who will pay the biggest price. But if patriots like you continue to take action, I have no doubt we will prevail. The future is in our hands. Each of us can do something. Please be a hero today and help us take another step toward defeating radical Islam. Thank you.
