Honor Diaries Premiering This Week The Clarion Project strives to empower moderate voices to speak up against extremism by providing a platform for their messages to be heard. Clarion Project’s new film, Honor Diaries, features nine women’s rights activists who expose the oppression of women in Muslim-majority societies. The film highlights the abuses of female genital mutilation, honor killings, acts of violence and gender inequality. The release of Honor Diaries coincides with ‘International Women’s Day,’ March 8. With the aim of drastically expanding the reach of the film, we have initiated a ‘crowd-funding’ campaign to raise the money needed to translate and distribute Honor Diaries in the Middle East, South East Asia and North Africa. Honor Diaries screenings include the following high profile venues: the House of Commons (London), Amnesty International ( London), UN (New York), UN (Geneva), Museum of Tolerance (Los Angeles) and over 100 red carpet events, campuses and grassroots screenings. |
