Muslim Immigrants: Their Number Is Not Sufficient

Muslim Immigrants: Their Number Is Not Sufficient

The European reaction to a rumor about a possible bomb threat…

On April 29 and 30, residents of the European capitals and big cities began receiving messages from their friends and family, asking them not to use underground trains on May 1. The reason was a story which, varying slightly in the details depending on the country where  it was told, can be summed up as follows:

Some woman, walking in the street, saw that from the pocket of a man who walked some meters before her fell a wallet. Being an honest person, the woman called him, explained the situation and gave him the wallet. The man, who turned out to be a Muslim immigrant (his nationality varies from “Moroccan” in Spain and Portugal to “Maghrebi” in France and “Pakistani” in Great Britain) was greatly appreciative because he had money, documents and credit cards in that wallet, and then said something to the effect of: “You are a good woman, you’ve helped me. Now, I want to help you. Don’t use underground  trains on May 1; better use a bus. And in general try to avoid places where there is a big concentration of people on that day.”

After that, the man turned and went away without giving more details, and actually, they were not needed:  the woman without any further explanation understood that it was a warning about the coming terrorist attack in some underground station or train and  immediately started to send messages from her phone to all her friends and relatives. They, in their turn, did the same, and the “Muslim warning” spread like a wild fire: Muslims are going to commit a terrorist attack in some underground station.

People understood, that it was most probably a primitive provocation, but on May 1 in that very big (by European standards) city where I live, underground stations and trains were unusually empty.

However, this provocation demonstrated some rather interesting trends in the situation with Muslim immigrants in Europe. First, the information that Muslims are preparing a terrorist attack in European cities was accepted by the people as something very probable and quite believable: that Muslims can launch an attack in such a place as an underground station or train did not seem a surprise to anybody. Second, they took for granted that this attack was being prepared by Muslims; not by Jews, Christians, Buddhists, or some left/right/middle  Atheist “revolutionary” group. And third, it demonstrated a general public opinion about the attitude of Muslim immigrants toward those European countries that host them; Europeans think Muslims are hostile.

And let’s be honest; Muslim immigrants give Europeans good reason to think so.

There is no need to launch some multi-paged scientific research about Muslim terrorism in Europe; just type in a Google search for “Foiled terrorist attacks in Europe”- and enjoy:
Man arrested in France in plot to attack churches (The name of this man is Sid Ahmed Ghlam; any doubts about his origin?);

Foiled Belgium terror attacks fuel fears of radical Islam in Europe;

French police foil ‘imminent’ terror attack in Paris (The arrested, a 24 year-old male, had settled in France from- what a surprise – Algeria in 2009, and was allowed to stay under the “regrouping of families” rules;)

German police foil terrorist attack near Frankfurt: (The  names of the married couple who planned the attack and were arrested by the police are Halil and Senay D, purely German names of course;)
Islamist plot to blow up Eiffel Tower, Louvre and nuclear power plant foiled, say French police;
Spanish police have arrested 11 people with suspected links to Islamic State (Isis) who were planning terror attacks in Catalonia.
….
And so on, one page after another; Charlie Hebdo attack, Muhammad Merah’s attack, Amedy Coulibaly’s attack…

And European politicians after every attack run to assure us that Islam is the religion of peace, that those who commit one slaughter after another are just some small groups of marginals unsupported by an absolute majority of Muslims, and that we must bring more Muslim immigrants to our countries, because their number here is not big enough…

Not big enough- for what? For killing us better?
