(UPDATES) EXCLUSIVE VIDEOS: The Rebel's David Menzies reports from terror attack on Garland, Texas "Mohammed cartoon" event

The Rebel's David Menzies was one of those attending the $10,000 Muhammad cartoon contest hosted by author Pamela Geller, when shots were fired outside the building.

Initial reports say two suspects, reportedly armed with AK-47s were shot dead after attacking the site.

Armed officers rushed into the event and took Gellar to safety as a firefight erupted outside the venue.

An officer on the scene was shot and taken to a nearby hospital.

The two suspects are not being touched at this time until a bomb squad checks out their bodies.

100 people, including The Rebel's David Menzies, are inside of the building and are being held.

Police armed with M-16s have the area blocked off and helicopters are patrolling the skies.
