What Are Their Lives Worth To You?

What Are Their Lives Worth To You?

Over the last few months Sea Shepherd has saved the lives of thousands of sea turtles on the beaches of Costa Rica, Honduras, Columbia, Cape Verde and Florida.

Over the past two months tons of ghost nets and plastic garbage have been removed from the Mediterranean by Sea Shepherd France

Over the last year, Sea Shepherd shut down the six most notorious Southern Ocean toothfish poachers, seized 72 kilometers of gill net and chased the toothfish vessel THUNDER for 110 days until it was sunk by it’s own crew to avoid being captured.

At this very moment scores of Sea Shepherd volunteers are in the Danish Faroe Islands and at the Cove in Taiji Japan. They are there to oppose the brutal slaughter of Pilot whales and dolphins.

I don’t often make a personal public appeal for funds. The last time I did so was in 2011 to free our ship STEVE IRWIN. We raised the funds, freed the ship and won the case against the Maltese tuna poachers who attempted to sue us.

Now we need to replace the four boats stolen from us by the Danish Navy. We need to raise 200,000 Euros. So far we have raised 14% of that goal.

Surely the lives that we have saved are worth a small donation. These arefunds going directly towards purchasing replacement small boats, not just for the Faores but for the many campaigns the ships tackle throughout the year.

I donated 500 Euros myself to this appeal. If everyone who reads this donates something, we will reach our goal. In two days we have reached 14% of the goal. Help me get this to 100%.

I think the lives we save are worth a small donation. I hope you agree with me. If you can’t donate, please consider re-posting and sharing and getting the word out to as many people as possible.

You can donate in Euros, pounds, U.S. or Australian dollars or Danish Kroner.
