VIDEO: PAMELA GELLER ON THE MICHAEL COREN SHOW, SUN TV

Here's the video (thanks to ) of my appearance on Michael Coren's show discussing the ban on forced marriage in the UK. This legislation is much needed and is a departure from Britain's general pro-sharia stance, i.e. introducing Sharia courts, referring even spousal abuse cases to them, etc. The UK action is welcome but long overdue, and needs to be matched with further action against child marriage and other Islamic practices.
Much more needs to be done to protect women from the human rights violations inherent in Islamic law. This is different from the UK's earlier stance, of referring Muslim-related cases (including spousal abuse) to Sharia courts, thus ensuring that the women involved would not get fair treatment.
Britain must reevaluate its other pro-sharia measures, such as tacitly tolerating Muslim polygamy.
Islam treats women like commodities, with polygamy, FGM, honor killing, etc. The Muslims in the UK and US need to be confronted about this by human rights activists.
The US would do well to adopt such a law as well. But Congress is meeting fierce resistance on such restrictions from Muslim groups, and not just on sharia bans, but on clitoridectomy legislation as well.
All this is why our pro-freedom, anti-sharia event, "A Summer Night for Human Rights" is so critical. This is the last week to register. Don't miss this historic shot heard round the free world. We will be livestreaming it. Bookmark it here.
Liberals and leftists like Sunny Hundal, editor of Liberal Conspiracy, argue "that the problem with these debates is that people from minority communities feel they are 'second class citizens,' told by the government how to lead their lives." Typical of liberals. One law for all citizens and equal justice for everyone. That doesn't make anyone second class.
