Woman stumbles on 'magic' cloth

A Saudi woman who was walking back home with her husband stumbled and fell just near the door, although her feet did not hit anything.

When her husband noticed a wrapped piece of cloth and took it to an Islamic scholar, he was told it was a “magic item”.

The man rushed to the office of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in the western town of Khurma.

“He was told by Commission’s scholars that it was magic work after they found pieces of hair, nails, needles and talismans inside the cloth,” ‘Sada’ daily said.

“They assured him that they succeeded in neutralising its magic power and that he and his wife were safe,” it added without mentioning who was behind the witchcraft.
