Dear Thomas,

I am sending this note to all of our chapter leaders and volunteers in

Florida concerning an important event taking place in Tallahassee this

Tuesday, March 10.

ACT! for America is pleased to come alongside Tom Trento with the

Florida Security Council and Americans Concerned for Florida, a coalition

of like-minded, security conscious groups working together to address the

threat Florida will be facing on Tuesday.

On this day, a group that has direct ties to Islamic terrorism,
the United Voices

for America, will be seeking to influence your legislator(s) regarding proposed

policies that would erode our collective support for the security of Israel and the

U.S.!

We also believe that their (the U.V.A.) ultimate goal is the replacement of

constitutional law with Sharia (Islamic) law both here in Florida and in

Washington D.C. They will claim that all they want to do is “get to know

their legislators.” Every American has the right to petition their government.

But it is also our right and duty to inform our elected officials that certain

people and groups have ties to Islamic terrorism!

Would you please join me and other leaders of various state and national

organizations at 11:00 A.M. at the Capitol Building for a press conference

outlining our concerns?

  • 11:00 A.M. (Parking is available at Kleman Plaza. It is located on
  • Duval Street - just west of the Capitol. )
  • Location of Press
Conference: Steps of the New Capitol Building on
    Duval S
    treet. (Subject to change:
watch your emails for possible updates.)

  • Business Attire Requested

In addition to the absolute importance of addressing this real threat, I have

talked or emailed with so many of you, but have rarely had the chance to

shake hands with any Florida volunteers! I suspect most of you

are in the same situation. This occasion represents

a real opportunity for many of us to finally meet! So let’s “make some

lemonade out of lemons” and approach this problem positively and

have some fun at the same time.

Our real chance to meet and greet will be over lunch immediately after the press

conference. We will be meeting in a restaurant close to the Capitol. (Location will

be disclosed privately at the finish of the press conference for security purposes.

There will most likely be other outside groups also expressing their free speech

rights on either side of this issue. Pay attention to your surroundings and any

potential threats. I do not wish to overly concern you. If we allow ourselves to

become intimidated, we have already lost our freedoms. Your willingness to

stand up and be heard is vital!)

During this lunch, I will be answering any questions
regarding our
request of you to meet your
own State Representative and / or State
Senator later in the
afternoon. It is imperative that each legislator

get a “touch” from their home district on this issue.

This will bring home to them the fact that someone

close by really cares about this.

  • Please contact a staff
person for these elected officials from

  • your specific district
immediately. You can find their contact

  • info by copying and
    pasting the following URL:

  • Simply tell them that
you will be in Tallahassee on Tuesday, the 10th

  • and you would like to
stop by their office for a brief visit. Ask them

  • what time would be best
and jot it down. They will be in session on

  • Tuesday, so do not expect
to receive “face time” from the legislator.

  • If you can, great. But
also realize how influential their staff is to their

  • policy formation process.
Spending time with a staff member is great
    too!

  • I am including the
talking points you will need that compliment a
    briefing

  • pack that we will be
placing in each legislator’s capitol mail box. They
    will

  • already have received the
pack before the afternoon of the 10th.
    Click
    here

  • for the talking points.

I look forward to meeting you! Your interest in keeping this nation

the safest in the world is so appreciated. Brigitte Gabriel would be

in Tallahassee if her schedule permitted, but it doesn’t. She wants
you to know that Tuesday is a very important day for the
future
of Florida. Please do what you can to join us!

Respectfully,
Kelly Cook
National Field Director
