It's Barack Obama's house now, but his predecessor and political foil, George W. Bush, stole the show at the White House on Thursday with his wisecracks and grin.

Top administration officials cut backroom deals with the nation's top drug companies to win support for President Obama's health care overhaul, threatening them with steeper taxes if they resisted and promising a better financial deal for the industry if they acquiesced.

It is as if we are all living in a giant playpen and we have too many people who prefer to remain infants, taken care of from birth to death. What is the result of all this "party now--pay later" fun and frolic?

A new dark age is descending across much of the Middle East as forces of Sharia Islam, enabled by official U.S. govt policy, again demand strict enforcement of Islamic law where women are tortured, raped and defiled with impunity.

While the ACLU is losing cases in the federal courts, groups such as Judicial Watch have been victorious in a number of lawsuits against the Obama administration.

The U.S. economy is looking slightly weaker one day before a critical report on May job growth.

The Commerce Department is considering naming Arab Americans a socially and economically disadvantaged minority group that is eligible for special business assistance.

We seem to think that we can consume as much government largesse as we want and no one ever seems to have to pay for it directly. We do. And will. One day. And the picture is not a pretty one.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey demands more money from a charitable foundation before it will finish construction.

In a move that comes just months before the state could play a pivotal role in the 2012 presidential election, the U.S. Department of Justice contends that the state is violating federal law in its effort to identify and remove ineligible voters.
