ACT! FOR CANADA NEWSLETTER - DECEMBER 21, 2012
John F. Kennedy
Justin Trudeau's Islamist Revival
Nothing says bug-eyed clerical fanaticism
more than inviting a hate-spewing Saudi cleric to address your religious
revival meeting. But this is part of the under-reported history of the Reviving
the Islamic Spirit (RIS) Convention, a conference that Justin Trudeau, a
frontrunner in Canada's Liberal Party leadership race – and son of Former PM
Pierre Trudeau – will address this weekend in Toronto
CAIR-CAN condemns Point
de Bascule and uses John Ralston Saul as a poster boy to legitimize the
Islamist agenda
Mr. John Ralston Saul – where does ignorance end and where
does wilful blindness begin?
Anti-sharia
Muslim personalities condemn Justin Trudeau’s participation at the
Islamist Conference in Toronto
Since the presence of Justin Trudeau at the Islamist
convention in Toronto
has been made public, many anti-Sharia Muslim personalities have discouraged
him from attending this Muslim Brotherhood-linked event. Trudeau was also
criticized by them for opposing the term “barbaric” in order to designate
honour killings last year.
Trudeau has a choice
Canada’s anti-terror law upheld
as top court dismisses three appeals
Canada’s anti-terrorism laws withstood an important legal challenge Friday when
the Supreme Court dismissed the appeals of three Ontario men who had argued the provisions
should be struck down.
Proposed Army manual
tells G.I.s not to insult Taliban, speak up for women
The draft handbook offers a list of “taboo conversation topics”
that soldiers should avoid, including “making derogatory comments about the
Taliban, advocating women’s rights, any criticism of pedophilia, directing any
criticism toward Afghans, mentioning homosexuality and homosexual conduct or
anything related to Islam” according to the Journal.
Once again Canada enunciates the position of
the free world, while Obama endorses jihad. Canada
told the Syrian opposition Tuesday it must reject extremism and embrace
minorities before Ottawa
will recognize its legitimacy as a successor to President Bashar Al-Assad,
according to a federal official.
John F. Kennedy
Tommy Robinson has been remanded in prison for a
number of trumped up charges that will not stick. He has become a
political "hot potato" that the authorities and prison governors do
not want to accommodate. It has been found that during his detention on
remand many of his human rights have been quashed and ignored even though the
prison, the governor and all relevant authorities have a "duty of
care" (which is a legally binding obligation) to make sure those rights
are followed to the letter.
Gavin Boby of Mosquebusters – U.K.
Erick
Stakelbeck’s interview with Gavin Boby for America’s CBN (begins at the 8:03
mark):
Niqab
ruling opens the door for Ottawa
to act
“While multiculturalism is an important part of Canadian society, its place
is rooted in the political and legal traditions of the constitution and our
democratic society,” and “Wearing a niqab is not compatible with the principle
of openness in Canadian courts….”
Barbara Kay
Barbara Kay has been our friend and mentor since we began
ACT! for Canada
over 3 years ago. Her support and encouragement has been
invaluable. Barbie was recently awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee
Medal. No-one deserves it more than her.
To end with a little humour: Whiny
Atheists Protest Charlie Brown Christmas Special
You know who did atheism right? The late
Christopher Hitchens. He didn’t whine or sue schools for singing “Oh, Come All
Ye Faithful.” What did he do? He vigorously argued his point of view, engaged
the brethren without being a shrill priss and left it to the audience to decide
what path they were going to take, and I dig that kind of robust character.
That said, as you can tell, I have no respect for atheists who want to ban
Christian symbolism because they don’t happen to buy it.
