Double Standards and False Tolerance

When a redneck says something politically incorrect, it's international news. But when Muhammad calls for the violent subjugation of unbelievers and the death of apostates, somehow he's beyond criticism.

If I were to say, "We must fight those who do not believe that Jesus is Lord" or "Kill anyone who leaves Christianity," I would rightly be condemned. But Muhammad commanded his followers to "Fight those who do not believe in Allah" and to kill anyone who leaves Islam, and yet we're not allowed to so much as question his teachings.

Has our society become so incredibly stupid that we can't even recognize such blatant double standards?
