Rise In Asylum Claims Under Trudeau To Cost Taxpayers $2.97 Billion

Government spends $600 per month on each claimant, and total costs between now and 2021 are forecast to rise to $2.97 billion dollars.

The consequences for Trudeau’s deceptive “everyone is welcome” rhetoric when it comes to refugees are now adding up.

A report by the Canadian Press based on an internal government report obtained through Access-To-Information has shown a huge spike in asylum claims under the Trudeau government, which has created a massive backlog, and will impose massive costs on Canadians.

According to the report, government “social supports” for asylum claimants – which means government benefits sponsored by Canadian taxpayers – will cost us $2.97 billion between now and 2021.

Keep in mind, many of those benefits will be going to people who violated our immigration laws and entered our country illegally. As a result, Canadian taxpayers are actually paying our money to people who broke our laws.

I’ve said numerous times that Canada should be a welcoming nation. I still believe that. However, that welcome must be made on our terms. Any sovereign country has the right to decide who does, and who does not, come into our country.

When we have millions of our own citizens struggling in poverty, it is simply unacceptable that we are paying billions to those who entered our country illegally.

That’s not why we pay taxes, and it is outrageous that the Trudeau government is making us foot the bill for this.

Trudeau puts Canada last

Once again, we are seeing that Justin Trudeau puts the interests of Canadians behind the interests of non-citizens and foreign countries.

Whether it’s selling us out to globalist banks, risking our national security as he bows down to China, or encouraging the world to violate our borders, Justin Trudeau continually acts against the interests of Canadian citizens.

We need a government that will put the well-being of Canadian citizens above all else, and that will never happen so long as Justin Trudeau and his globalist agenda remain in control of our nation.
