UANI
Applauds Senate Passage of Bipartisan Iran Sanctions Legislation
New York, NY
- The leaders of United Against
Nuclear Iran (UANI) applaud the U.S Senate's
strong bipartisan vote today to impose new sanctions on those involved
in Iran's ballistic missile program and on the Islamic Revolutionary
Guard Corps (IRGC), a terrorist organization responsible for
destabilizing many countries in the Middle East.
"UANI
commends the Senate for its swift, bipartisan action against the
Iranian regime today," said UANI Chairman and former U.S.
Senator Joseph I. Lieberman. "Tehran's reckless regional
aggression and world-leading sponsorship of terrorism demand a strong,
punitive response. The bipartisan nature of today's vote sends a
clear and powerful signal to companies around the world that Iran
remains a very risky environment for any prudent business to
enter."
