Heading into his eighth year as
commander-in-chief, Obama seems increasingly detached - inevitably so, as
reality relentlessly distances itself from the president's fantasies
about Islam and terrorism.
Charade has always been part of
diplomacy, but it is only now that, thanks to President Obama, it has
become its very substance, at least as far as the virtual "nuke
deal" with Iran is concerned.
My assumption is that people
respond to realities on the ground and that the recent surge of migration
is having an impact on European attitudes.
If there is a "failure to
communicate" the peril in which America finds itself, it is not
Stephen Coughlin's failure.
When will America get serious
about immigration law enforcement?
His representations call to
mind a Chico Marx quip: "Who are you going to believe: Me or your
own eyes?"
