Obama: No Credible Terror Threat, Just Like Before San Bernardino

Flanked by his national security team, President Obama reassured Americans that there was "no specific, credible threat" against the country ahead of the holidays.
If this sounds familiar, it should... here's Obama before the San Bernardino terror attack.
"Right now, we know of no specific and credible intelligence indicating a plot on the homeland," Obama said Wednesday afternoon, following a briefing with Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson, FBI Director James Comey and Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
Obama's statement came less than two weeks after a series of coordinated attacks in Paris that killed 130 people and injured hundreds more. The Islamic State militant group (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
The president did acknowledge that it is "understandable that people worry something similar could happen here."
Silly people with their fearmongering... what were the odds it could happen here? But right after the attack, Obama's broken record went right on playing.
"ISIL will not pose an existential threat to us. They are a dangerous organization like al Qaeda was, but we have hardened our defenses," Obama told CBS. "The American people should feel confident that, you know, we are going to be able to defend ourselves and make sure that, you know, we have a good holiday and go about our lives."
The interview was taped Wednesday, as details were still coming out about the shooting in San Bernardino, California, and before the two suspects had been identified.
You should be confident that Obama will keep lecturing us about "fear" and "our values" and resilience after each terror attack caused by his pandering to Islamists.
We had these two groups in our sights; if the investigation had continued and additional links been identified and dots connected, we might have given advance warning of the terrorist attack in San Bernardino. The combination of Farook’s involvement with the Dar Al Uloom Al Islamiyah Mosque and Malik’s attendance at al-Huda would have indicated, at minimum, an urgent need for comprehensive screening. It could also have led to denial of Malik’s K-1 visa or possibly gotten Farook placed on the No Fly list.
But after more than six months of research and tracking; over 1,200 law enforcement actions and more than 300 terrorists identified; and a commendation for our efforts; DHS shut down the investigation at the request of the Department of State and DHS’ own Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Division. They claimed that since the Islamist groups in question were not Specially Designated Terrorist Organizations (SDTOs) tracking individuals related to these groups was a violation of the travelers’ civil liberties.
This is why San Bernardino happened. It's why the next terror attack will happen.
