We have seen a spate of attacks recently in which jihadis used their cars as weapons. There was a vehicular jihad attack yesterday in Israel. The jihad attack recently in London followed the same pattern. And the Islamic State issued this call in September 2014:

So O muwahhid, do not let this battle pass you by wherever you may be. You must strike the soldiers, patrons, and troops of the tawaghit. Strike their police, security, and intelligence members, as well as their treacherous agents. Destroy their beds. Embitter their lives for them and busy them with themselves. If you can kill a disbelieving American or European — especially the spiteful and filthy French — or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way however it may be….If you are not able to find an IED or a bullet, then single out the disbelieving American, Frenchman, or any of their allies. Smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car, or throw him down from a high place, or choke him, or poison him….

We have seen large-scale vehicular jihad attacks in Nice and Berlin and elsewhere.

At least three people are reported to have been killed and shots have been fired after a truck ploughed into pedestrians outside a Stockholm department store in a suspected terror attack.
The incident was in Drottninggatan, a street in a busy shopping district in the centre of the Swedish capital on Friday afternoon.
Swedish Police said it was treating it as a possible terror attack and warned people to avoid the city centre.
Newspaper Aftonbladet quoted a witness saying they saw hundreds of people running for their lives near the Ahlens mall.
Another witness told the newspaper that the out-of-control truck ran over at least two people. Stay with us for the latest updates.
Swedish police have confirmed that at least two people have been killed and many injured in the Stockholm incident. It has issued a warning to avoid the city centre. All subway traffic has been shut down.
Pictures on social media showed the lorry had crashed into the corner of a department store with its cab on fire.
An Aftonbladet reporter on the scene said police suspected the crash was terror related….
