The Taliban has infiltrated military outposts in the past and conducted similar attacks.

Bomb blast rocks Kabul during rush hour, killing dozens of civilians Posted: 30 May 2017 11:45 PM PDT A suicide bomber detonated a vehicle packed with explosives in the Afghan capital this morning. The bombing was carried out near the German Embassy. At least 80 people were killed, according to initial casualty reports.

Shabaab claims US is ‘Satan of our time,’ praises al Qaeda’s leadership Posted: 30 May 2017 12:04 PM PDT Shabaab, al Qaeda's branch in Somalia, released a nearly hour-long video celebrating al Qaeda's legacy and promoting its war as part of the global jihad.
