FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE APRIL 5, 2017 press@uani.com                                         *Media Advisory* UANI Advisory Board Member Lieutenant General Michael Barbero to Testify Before Congress on Future of the Iran Nuclear Deal New York, NY - United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) Advisory Board Member and retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General Michael Barbero will testify before the Subcommittee on National Security of the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform on Wednesday, April 5 at 2 PM. The hearing, "Assessing the Iran Deal," will examine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), in addition to reviewing Iran's continued aggression throughout the Middle East. Lieutenant General Barbero served as Director of the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, where he led the Department of Defense's efforts to provide combat support to address threats such as improvised explosive devices (IEDs). He served nearly four years in Iraq over three tours and has served at all levels of the military throughout his decorated career, including infantry assignments, tactical assignments, lieutenant colonel, and lieutenant general.
